Reckless Remedy was a little surprised with its immediate success when forming in 2016, playing on the main stage at County USA in Oshkosh, WI, the Uline Stage at Summerfest in Milwaukee, and the Budweiser Pavilion at Wisconsin State Fair. This group of a-list players have been creating a buzz in the Midwest Country and Rock scene ever since, sharing the stage with Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Dustin Lynch, Chase Rice, Lo-Cash, Frankie Ballard, and many more.
The band was forged in 2015 when Abe Foerster was asked literally on the spot in front of 3,000 people at a major festival to fill in for lead singing duties with Brian Boehlen (drums) and Donn Trampe's (bass) band. The show was a success, the crowd loved Abe's energy, and chemistry was found. Abe asked his good friend Matt to attend a subsequent rehearsal with the guys and something, everything, "clicked". The grooves were thundering and effortless, and the vocals created a tapestry worthy of goosebumps and chills. Reckless Remedy began gigging steadily in 2016 - the fun on stage translating directly to the crowds. The addition of Leroy Deuster, the angry oyster, (steel guitar and dobro) added another dimension to the band with his infectious energy and humor.
"What it is all about for us" comments Abe, "is that we've found something special with this group, and a lot of people seem to think that as well". " Exactly," agrees Leroy. "When we hear someone from the crowd say "we just got back from Nashville, or just saw this national act, and you guys blew them away", we just chuckle. Most of us in this band have played in Nashville or have toured professionally, and we are so fortunate and grateful for our fans who've enabled us to bring this level of professionalism and and musicianship to the Midwest region that we call home. We wouldn't trade a minute of this ride for anything".
